Who we are

You can reach us at info@cornwallwcc.org.uk.

What we collect and why

We collect personal data in the following ways:

  • Newsletter signup. When you subscribe, we collect your email address along with a record of when and how you gave consent. We use this to send you newsletter updates and to honour your unsubscribe request later.
  • Contact form. When you message us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message so that we can reply to you.
  • Event attendance.If you let us know you're coming to an event, we may keep a brief record for planning purposes. We don't use that information for anything else.

Lawful basis

  • Newsletter: your explicit consent, given by ticking the consent box and confirming via the link in our confirmation email (double opt-in).
  • Contact replies: our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch with us.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase, with servers located in the European Union. Some emails (for example, newsletter confirmations) are sent via our email provider in the course of normal delivery.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter subscribers:for as long as you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe so we don't accidentally email you again.
  • Contact messages: typically up to 12 months after the conversation ends, unless an ongoing matter requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (for the newsletter, use the link in any email or visit our unsubscribe page);
